The Franciscan Jubilee

On the heels of the Jubilee of Hope, we are now in the midst of a special Jubilee Year for St Francis (whose 800th feast day is on Oct 3, 2026).  

St Francis is one of the most beloved saints in the Church, revered even by countless non-Catholics. So what does he have to teach those of us living in this society today? Bishop Caggiano has five lessons for each of us to reflect on and implement in our lives. I've summarized them like this:

1. Commit to a radical response
2. See what's actually truly beautiful
3. Widen your embrace
4. Free yourself FROM the baggage of your past and of sin
5. Free yourself TO suffer for Love

Oh, and... who was the "lady" who Francis loved who catalyzed his conversion?
