To Die Well: the Reality of Death During Lent, with Dr. Stephen Doran
Wednesday Mar 11, 2026
Wednesday Mar 11, 2026
We will all have some experience with death. That reality is especially poignant during Lent.
Bishop Caggiano speaks with Stephen Doran, a neurosurgeon and Catholic deacon who has written a tremendous book (especially good to pick up for the next few weeks of Lent) called To Die Well. Some of the things they discuss include:
...what, actually, is death?
...how can we prepare for death (our own and our loved ones')?
...how does living well prepare us for, and lead us to, dying well?
...what difference does a doctor's spiritual life make in the care he or she provides?
By the way, we are blessed, in the Diocese of Bridgeport, to have the St Luke's Guild to strengthen and edify and provide community for healthcare professionals.

Interview with an Exorcist, Msgr. Rossetti on Possession, Jesus's Victory, and Our Lady
Wednesday Mar 04, 2026
Wednesday Mar 04, 2026
"The one mistake most people make is: they give Satan too much power."
Msgr Stephen Rossetti, an exorcist with the Archdiocese of Washington, founded and leads the St Michael Center for Spiritual Renewal. Spiritual warfare is the topic of this week's Let Me Be Frank, and Msgr Rossetti & Bishop Caggiano answer questions like:
...what is deliverance ministry?
...how do you distinguish between psychological issues and demonic influence?
...do demons dwell in places as well as in people?
...what are the signs of oppression and of possession?
...what's the problem with tarot cards, necromancy, ouija boards and other forms of divination?
...why are relics, rosary beads, and other holy things so effective against demons?
This is a tremendous, and very important, conversation. Enjoy!

How Jesus Suffered: A Doctor Explains (w/ Dr. Thomas McGovern)
Wednesday Feb 25, 2026
Wednesday Feb 25, 2026
What Christ Suffered examines the passion and crucifixion of Jesus Christ through the eyes of a physician, detailing Jesus's suffering from a physiological and medical point of view.
And... the book is even more than that. It is also a reflection on Paul's words to the Colossians: "Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church." In other words: how can we suffer well and how can we suffer for the benefit of others?
Dr McGovern is Bishop Caggiano's guest this week on Let Me Be Frank, and I'm confident that this book would be a tremendous resource for you this Lent.
Oh, and what prompted Bishop Frank to say: "Harvard... we don't talk about them"?

Beginning Lent, (Bl.) Fulton Sheen, Meeting Pope Leo XIV!
Wednesday Feb 18, 2026
Wednesday Feb 18, 2026
Blessed Ash Wednesday to you.
Bishop Caggiano helps us begin Lent on the right foot, as he reflects on:
...what are the two focuses of Lent for each of us personally?
...what is the purpose of this season of penance? Where is the journey heading?
...what can we expect to see in our churches over these 40 days?
We also talked about Archbishop Fulton Sheen, whose upcoming beatification was confirmed by the Vatican, as well as about Bishop Caggiano's recent audience with Pope Leo XIV.
By the way, this diocesan Lenten pilgrimage is a fantastic way to spend your Lent and prepare for Easter.
Pax Christi,
Steve Lee

Overcoming Sins of Speech & Cultivating True Communion (with Fr. Gregory Pine)
Wednesday Feb 04, 2026
Wednesday Feb 04, 2026
"My parents loved me..."
That's how Fr Gregory Pine OP began his testimony when Bishop Frank asked about his journey of faith.
Fr Gregory joined us on Let Me Be Frank to talk about his new book: Training The Tongue And Growing Beyond Sins of Speech... which details how we can elevate our speech, enhance conversation, and (most importantly) cultivate communion. Fr Gregory & Bishop Frank also talk about:
...are there times when you should withhold the truth?
...can reading the classics enhance our speech and communication?
...what role does humor play in conversation and interaction?
...how do Millennials & Gen Z differ in their relationship with Truth?
You will certainly enjoy this conversation! And be sure to pick up a copy of Training the Tongue for Lent.

A Window of Opportunity for the Catholic Church
Wednesday Jan 28, 2026
Wednesday Jan 28, 2026
The Holy Spirit is on the move.
Bishop Caggiano has observed that there is a turning of the tide, a window of opportunity, a newfound openness to the Catholic faith in people who were not open just a few years ago. There are quantitative and qualitative signs… a perfect storm of events and circumstances coming together that bode very hopefully for the growth of the Catholic faith.
What does this perfect storm mean?
What caused it?
How do we take advantage of it?
Bishop Frank looks at a number of factors, including: demographic shifts, the strength of the Church on the continent of Africa, and economic realities in the US… how should we respond to this window of opportunity?
Listen or watch… and find out!
Pax Christi,
Steve Lee

Healing Through Contemplation & The Dark Night of the Soul
Wednesday Jan 21, 2026
Wednesday Jan 21, 2026
When we suffer, we suffer because we try to find happiness in something that will never give it to us," Fr Daniel Chowning said.
Yes... and that wasn't even the "quote to remember from this episode", according to Bishop Frank!
Fr Daniel Chowning OCD is a Discalced Carmelite priest and author of Healed by Love: Contemplation as a Path of Healing according to St John of the Cross.
Fr Daniel joined Bishop Caggiano to talk about:
...who are the Carmelites, and who was John of the Cross?
...what exactly is the Dark Night of the Soul?
...what is contemplation?
...how can we find true healing?
This is a fantastic conversation. Enjoy!
