Maximillian Kolbe: One of the Greatest Saints of Our Time (w/ Anthony D'Ambrosio)
Wednesday Aug 06, 2025
Wednesday Aug 06, 2025
Every night at Auschwitz, after a draining and exhausting day, Fr Maximilian Kolbe would go quietly from bunk to bunk to care for the other prisoners, whispering: "I am a Catholic priest. Is there anything I can do for you?"
His witness, courage, and faith at the notorious prison camp were the culmination of a lifetime of heroic and groundbreaking work in the service of the Lord. It is a story of true hope in what could have only seemed like the greatest darkness.
On Let Me Be Frank this week, Bishop Caggiano speaks with Anthony D'Ambrosio, who has written and directed Triumph of the Heart, a stunning new film about this great saint.
You can attend a special pre-release screening of Triumph of the Heart on Thursday, August 14th at the AMC Royale in Norwalk, CT. More information and tickets are here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/rsvp-for-triumph-of-the-heart-early-access-norwalk-ct-tickets-1489664288989

Sophia Institute Press has recently published God's Influencer, a book about Carlo Acutis written from interviews with his parents!
Mary Beth Bracy joined us from Sophia Institute Press to tell us about Carlo's short but holy life, the miracles attributed to him on the road to canonization, how we can begin following his extraordinary example, and more!
Funnily enough, on an episode focused on a young man who used technology so well in the service of the Lord... we experienced some real technology challenges!

Join Bishop Frank Caggiano and Steve Lee as they delve into pressing societal issues, from the Educational Choice for Children's Act to the ethical implications of genetic engineering, IVF, and artificial intelligence. Explore the intersection of faith and modern challenges, and discover how the Church can guide us through these complex times.
Also discussed are The Educational Choice for Children's Act's impact on Catholic education; the ethical considerations for genetic engineering and CRISPR technology; the role of artificial intelligence in the workforce, especially healthcare, and its moral implications; the rise of euthanasia and the Church's stance on life issues; and the moral and ethical challenges of in vitro fertilization and frozen embryos.

Exodus 90, Freedom, and Salvation with Jamie Baxter, CEO of Exodus 90
Wednesday Jun 25, 2025

"Salvation is of the entire person, not just the soul. If we involve the body in the spiritual life, we are completing that which the Lord wants."
Bishop Frank made that observation during his conversation with Jamie Baxter, founder of Exodus 90. Exodus 90 is an outstanding program for men to lean on prayer, asceticism, and fraternity as a means to the goal of freedom.
This was a really, very edifying conversation for me to listen in on.
I've been afraid to give Exodus 90 a try, despite many invitations from dear friends... perhaps this episode is a sign I should not ignore any longer...
